Conflict between the Aschen and the rest of the galaxy of Avalona in their bid to amass enough natural resources to counter the emergence of the Alterra in what essentially classifies as a 'pre-emptive war of conquest.
First Conflict[]
Beginning with the attack on Earth, the Aschen encountered the Alterra for the first time in the form of a Columnar-class warship that came to the aid of the Tau'ri and thwarted the Aschen attack on the planet in grandiose style.
Seeing the threat this new race posed(supplemented by intelligence gathered from the interrogation of a captured Tok'ra), the Aschen eventually decided to drastically accelerate their plans for galactic domination in order to head off the rebirth of the Alterra...before they could grow into a threat beyond the ability of the Aschen to counter.
